AboutVanessa Vineyard

Suki Sekhon founded Vanessa Vineyard on a former grazing property above the Similkameen Valley in 2005. Butterflies on the land inspired the name, while the rocky hillside posed a challenge for planting. Viticulturists Robert Goltz and Richard Cleave helped establish 75 acres of vines, with Howard Soon overseeing the planting.

The estate initially sold grapes to other British Columbia wineries, then began making its own wines in 2012. Soon became master winemaker in 2017, continuing his involvement with the property.
