Tudal Winery

Arnold and Alma Tudal brought their vegetable-farming experience to Napa in the early 1970s, settling on a former walnut property north of Saint Helena. Arnold and his son John planted Cabernet Sauvignon in 1973, with advice from fellow vintner Louis Martini. They first sold their grapes to other wineries, then released Tudal’s first commercial estate Cabernet Sauvignon in 1979. The ten-acre estate became the home of a small-lot Napa winery.
