AboutTroupis Winery
The Troupis family grew vines in Arcadia from the 1970s before opening its winery in 2010, starting with seven hectares of its own vineyards. Based in Fteri, around 700 metres up on the Mantinea plateau, the winery centres on aromatic Moschofilero, alongside Agiorgitiko from Nemea and newer Assyrtiko plantings in Mantinea.
Its cellar experiments include fermenting with native yeasts, leaving juice in contact with grape skins and working with ceramic vessels, concrete tanks, oak and acacia barrels. The family also makes small experimental batches with Greek varieties such as Kolliniatiko.

Greek Red
Gooseberry and pomegranate join plum, red fruit, black fruit and spice. The palate is supple, with velvety tannins, balanced acidity and a medium body. Production includes a few days of low-temperature maceration, and the wine has a deep red-purple colour. This dry red is made entirely from Agiorgitiko grown in Nemea at about 640 metres. A light butter-caramel note is also present.
