AboutTrefethen Family Vineyards
In 1968, Eugene and Catherine Trefethen bought a neglected Napa Valley estate, which their son John and his future wife Janet set about restoring. The old Eshcol winery, built in 1886, was brought back into use for the family’s first commercial harvest in 1973. Third-generation Hailey and Lorenzo now work alongside John and Janet in the family business.
The home ranch in Napa Valley’s Oak Knoll District grows nine grape varieties, helped by varied soils and a cool climate that allows a long ripening season. Janet helped secure recognition for Oak Knoll as an appellation in 2004.

The wine is dry and carries twelve and a half percent alcohol. It comes from the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley, where the estate grows the Riesling used for this bottling.

Trefethen 2019 Chardonnay
A Napa Valley Chardonnay shaped by a long-standing commitment to quality, with pineapple, apple and Meyer lemon layered over orange peel and pear. The palate is full-bodied and structured, but fresh acidity keeps the richness in balance. Creme brulee and vanilla add gentle depth before a smooth, lingering finish. Serve with roast chicken, rich seafood or creamy pasta.
