Château Tour Bayard was founded in 1956 in the Montagne-Saint-Émilion appellation on Bordeaux’s right bank. The estate began with roughly ten hectares and developed as a family property dedicated to the vineyards around its château. Merlot forms the principal part of the vineyard, supported by Cabernet Franc and other permitted red Bordeaux varieties.

Later generations have renewed vineyard and cellar work while preserving the original estate identity and appellation. Exact planting proportions, certification status and production methods are treated as current facts only when directly documented. Tour Bayard remains a family property in Montagne-Saint-Émilion, with Merlot and Cabernet Franc central to its vineyards.
