AboutThe English Whisky Co.
James Nelstrop and his family established The English Whisky Company’s distillery at Roudham, Norfolk, in 2006. It helped revive English whisky distilling after a gap of more than a century.
The whisky uses water from the Breckland aquifer beneath the site and barley grown in Norfolk and on the family’s farms in Lincolnshire. Cooling water circulates in a closed loop, while spent grain feeds local dairy herds and liquid by-products return to nearby fields as fertilizer.

British Whisky
Fresh apple and thick vanilla custard shape the nose, followed by a gentle mix of almonds and hazelnuts. The palate is light but assured, with apple crumble, sweet malt and soft oak carried by a clean, slightly peppery texture. Fruit remains at the centre as the whisky develops, while the nutty character adds quiet depth without making the spirit heavy. The finish is long, lightly warming and neatly balanced between vanilla sweetness, orchard fruit and oak. Serve neat or with a little water.
