AboutTeso La Monja
The Eguren family established Teso La Monja in Toro in 2007, building on a winegrowing history that reaches back to 1870. Its vineyards include pre-phylloxera Tinta de Toro vines with naturally low yields. Less sun-exposed parcels allow the grapes to ripen more slowly and evenly. Gravel at the surface helps water drain, while deeper clay holds moisture for the vines.

Spanish Red
Toasty blackberry, cassis and blueberry lead into dark chocolate, coffee and sweet spice. Powerful and concentrated, the palate remains creamy and well structured, with mineral and balsamic notes bringing savoury definition to the ripe black fruit. Firm tannins shape the long, warming finish. Decant for braised beef, lamb or aged cheese.
