AboutTalisker
Brothers Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill founded Talisker in 1830 at Carbost, on the shores of Loch Harport. It is the oldest working distillery on the Isle of Skye. Peat smoke, a salty edge and peppery warmth are hallmarks of its single malt.
Talisker 57° North Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700 mL
Sea spray, mineral smoke and cold stone give the nose a distinctly coastal edge, with malt and a touch of sweetness underneath. The palate is powerful and oily, moving through dense peat smoke, salted fish and dried seaweed before Talisker’s characteristic peppery heat takes hold. Refill American oak keeps the fruit and sweetness in balance with the maritime intensity. The finish is long, smoky and warming, with brine, pepper and charred wood. Add water gradually to soften the strength and reveal more malt.
