AboutTalamonti
The Redmont–Di Tonno family founded Talamonti in 2001 in Loreto Aprutino, a hill town in Abruzzo. Its 45 hectares of vines surround the winery, facing south-east across the Tavo Valley at roughly 300 metres above sea level. Both the nearby Adriatic and the Apennines influence the estate’s climate. Montepulciano and Trebbiano are central to the wines, alongside Pecorino and a selection of international varieties.

Liquorice, spice, resin, flowers, cherry, pepper and saddle leather shape the aromas. The palate is round, supple and full-bodied, with acidity and a solid core of fruit. Bright cherry and plum sit with smoky, savoury, root-like and peppery notes. Its intensity suits food. Montepulciano provides the grape variety, and the wine comes from Abruzzo in central Italy.
