Symington Family Estates makes Port and still wines in Portugal’s Douro Valley. The family began making Douro DOC wines in the 1990s, working with indigenous varieties long used for Port. Its winemaking draws on family vineyards as well as longstanding relationships with Douro growers, including those in the Rio Torto Valley.

Portuguese Fortified
Black cherry, damson and cassis lead with violet, dark chocolate and liquorice. Full-bodied and polished, the palate carries concentrated dark fruit over firm, velvety tannins, while fresh acidity keeps the sweetness in balance. Warm spice and a subtle eucalyptus lift frame the long, warming finish, where plum and savoury depth linger.

Portuguese Fortified
Coffee, tea, cocoa and dark chocolate rise from a mature ruby core, joined by ginger and the layered warmth of an old-fashioned grocer's shop. The palate remains full and composed, with rounded tannins, measured sweetness and developed complexity. Balanced, savoury and settled, it closes with a long, attractive finish.
