Vancouver’s Superflux and Delta’s Four Winds Brewing joined forces to make Ostro Pilsner. Superflux began as Matt Kohlen and Adam Henderson’s Machine Ales project in 2015; Four Winds opened in 2013, built by the Mills family and friends. Their pilsner uses German Durst malt and Magnum and Saaz hops.

German Durst malt gives the palate a clean base with the gentle sweetness of bread crust. Magnum and Saaz hops add a traditionally floral aroma, lifted by a clear layer of lemon. Crisp structure and balanced bitterness keep the finish focused and refreshing, while the malt remains quietly present throughout. Serve well chilled with roast chicken, grilled seafood, schnitzel or a firm alpine cheese.
