AboutStoller Family Estate

Bill Stoller’s father and uncle bought the family’s Oregon farm in 1943. Bill acquired it in 1993 and planted the first twenty acres two years later, split equally between Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Those varieties still lead the estate’s 225 planted acres in the Dundee Hills.

The vineyard and winery are LIVE certified, with environmental work that includes solar power and the protection of native oak habitat. A gravity-flow winery is part of the estate’s design.

Stoller Family Estate 2018 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

American Red
$37.99
Blackberry, bramble and baking spice appear in a dark, earthy profile. Fine-grained tannins and vibrant red fruit carry through the finish. Fruit came from selected Willamette Valley sites and several Pinot Noir clones. The wine aged for almost a year, with fifteen percent new oak and the remainder in neutral barrels. The growing season brought a warm, dry summer and a cool September that allowed extended ripening.

Stoller Family Estate 2021 Dundee Hills Chardonnay

American White
$41.99
Chardonnay opens with wet stone and lemon tart. Persimmon and starfruit appear with firm vibrancy and tension. The finish is clean and taut, with plusher fruit flavours lingering. Fruit comes from south-facing Dundee Hills sections planted on well-drained red Jory soil. Fermentation and ageing use stainless steel, concrete and neutral French oak, followed by three months together in tank.
