Stock’s story began in Trieste in 1884, when Lionello Stock and Carlo Camis opened Camis & Stock, a steam-powered wine distillery. The business distilled local wine and, by the 1920s, had expanded into a network of distilleries, bottling plants and maturation facilities across Europe. The Italian business broadened its range from brandy to vermouth, liqueurs, grappa, amaro, gin, vodka and whisky.
