AboutSt-Germain

Third-generation distiller Robert Cooper created St-Germain in 2007, building the French liqueur around freshly picked elderflowers. Its name recalls Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the Paris neighbourhood known for its artists, writers and cafés. Cooper designed it for cocktails and the aperitif.

The wild flowers are gathered by hand during a short spring season and infused within 24 hours of picking. The extract then rests before filtration and blending, which includes a little French brandy.

St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur

French Liqueur
$61.99
Fresh elderflower gives an aromatic floral opening, followed by pear, citrus and honeysuckle. Lychee and guava add a soft tropical accent, while a clean white-fruit line keeps the sweetness poised rather than heavy. The texture is silky and generous, with enough citrus lift to carry the floral character through a long, fragrant finish. A small measure brings depth to sparkling wine, soda or a gin-based cocktail; it can also be served over ice with lemon for a simple, polished aperitif.
