Rye spice and caramel lead a concentrated nose, followed by vanilla, dill, cinnamon and citrus. The palate is oily and full, with clove, charred oak and pepper set against butterscotch and a touch of leather. A pure rye mash and cask-strength bottling preserve the grain’s direct, assertive character, while a small addition of water opens the sweeter notes. The finish is long and firmly spiced, carrying dill, caramel and raw grain. Serve neat first, then adjust with water to taste.
