Steve Planthaber founded Settlement Wines in Marlborough after twelve years at Cloudy Bay. He works with Kirsty and the Sutherland family, making wines from organically farmed vineyards in the Wairau and Southern Valleys. Each of the four wines comes from a single vineyard. Settlement Vineyard, a 13.4-hectare site in the Omaka Valley, is particularly important for Pinot Noir.

New Zealand White
Grapefruit, elderflower and bright citrus lead an aromatic, finely detailed profile, with white flowers adding lift. The palate is tangy and clean, its firm acidity carrying ripe fruit through a subtle mineral texture and persistent finish. Fresh yet composed, it pairs naturally with oysters, grilled white fish or herb-led vegetable dishes.
