AboutSeppelt

Joseph Best established the Great Western winery in western Victoria in 1865. Three years later, local miners began excavating the underground cellars known as the Drives, a hand-cut network that now extends for roughly three kilometres beneath the property. Benno Seppelt acquired the winery in 1918.

Great Western remains its historic home, while the wines also draw on other Victorian regions, including Henty and Heathcote. Seppelt has a long history of sparkling winemaking, including early work with sparkling red wine.

Seppelt NV DP 33 Muscat

Australian Dessert
$39.99
Deep brown with an olive-green rim, opening on raisin, toffee and honey with a measured hint of marmalade. The palate is creamy and velvet-smooth, layering crushed raisin, caramel and warm spice over a rich, concentrated core. Balanced warmth carries the sweetness through a very long finish that remains expressive rather than heavy.
