AboutSeghesio Family Vineyards

Edoardo Seghesio left Piedmont for Sonoma in 1886. With Angela, he bought 56 acres and planted Home Ranch in 1895, including Zinfandel blocks that the winery still farms. The business survived Prohibition through grapes and grape products, then shifted from bulk production to a smaller, estate-focused range in 1993.

The winery now farms more than 300 acres across Sonoma County, including old-vine blocks and historic Italian varieties. Zinfandel is its focus, with wines made in small lots from different Sonoma sites. For its Old Vine Zinfandel, the vines are at least fifty years old and average about seventy-five.
