AboutSea Cider

Kristen Needham opened Sea Cider’s farm gate in Saanichton in 2007, and the business remains family-owned. The ten-acre farm holds more than 1,300 apple trees and over fifty heirloom varieties. English bittersweet and bittersharp apples contribute tannin and structure to its heirloom ciders.

Sea Cider works primarily with Vancouver Island and British Columbia apples, including its own organically grown fruit. The range includes dry heirloom cider, sparkling fruit infusions, fortified cider and alcohol-free releases.

Sea Cider Wild English Cider 750 mL

Canadian Cider
$24.99
Selected apples shape a cider with sweetness, rustic orchard character and an earthy layer. The profile is built around apple fruit, while earthiness adds complexity to the full-orchard impression described in the existing note. Sweetness remains part of the cider's established character. Apple, rusticity and earthiness are the documented elements, presented together in a full orchard style.

Sea Cider Pippins Sparkling Cider 750 mL

Canadian Cider
$24.99
Juicy, expressive and playful, this aromatic off-dry cider shows citrus, apple, lemongrass, pineapple and confectionery in the official profile. The name refers to apple trees grown from seed and to the varieties that developed during North America's pioneering age. Made on Vancouver Island, it brings heritage-apple history together with an aromatic, fruit-led sparkling cider style.

Sea Cider Bramble Bubbly Sparkling Cider 750ml

Canadian Cider
$23.99
British Columbia cider apples are cool-fermented with Champagne yeast to preserve their aromatic freshness, then joined by blackberry juice for a deep rose colour and a restrained berry note. The style is semi-dry and sparkling, balancing crisp apple character with the sun-ripened richness of local blackberries. Bright bubbles keep the finish lifted and celebratory. Serve chilled with roast duck, charcuterie, soft cheese or berry desserts.

Sea Cider Cherry Lane 750ml

Canadian Cider
$23.99
Local sweet and sour cherries are infused with British Columbia apples, giving this sparkling cider a vivid rosé character. Bitter cherry, choke cherry and pin cherry bring tart red-fruit detail, while apple skin adds a gently savoury orchard edge. The palate is bright, fresh and finely lifted. Serve chilled with charcuterie, roast duck, soft cheese or fruit-led salads.

Sea Cider Rumrunner 750ml

Canadian Cider
$23.99
Barrel ageing gives this sparkling cider a rich, full-bodied profile, layering baked apple with caramel, molasses, vanilla and buttered-rum warmth. The fruit remains clear beneath the darker, rounded flavours, while gentle carbonation keeps the palate from feeling heavy. The finish is long, comforting and quietly complex. Serve chilled with roast pork, aged cheddar, glazed ham or apple dessert.

Sea Cider Kings & Spies 750ml

Canadian Cider
$24.99
King and Northern Spy apples give a generous, fruit-forward orchard profile, with fine sparkle adding lift. The palate is off-dry and approachable, shaped more like apple Prosecco than a heavy farmhouse cider. A fresh line of acidity keeps the fruit clear through the finish. Serve chilled with roast chicken, pork, firm cheese or savoury brunch dishes.

Sea Cider Ginger Perry 750ml

Canadian Cider
$24.99
Crisp pear forms the bright, acidic base, lifted by zesty ginger and the resinous perfume of juniper berry. Barrel-series depth gives the palate extra presence without obscuring the clean fruit, while the spice remains fresh rather than hot. The finish is lively, warming and well defined. Serve chilled with sushi, pork dumplings, roast squash or mild curry.

Sea Cider Witch’s Broom Sparkling Cider 750 mL

Canadian Cider
$24.99
Fall spices define this semi-sweet sparkling cider, with cinnamon, orange, nutmeg and ginger recorded in the official profile. Its flavour is likened to pumpkin pie, and the finish carries lingering spice. Made on Vancouver Island, it combines orchard fruit with a seasonal mixture of aromatics, gentle sweetness and bubbles, with the documented spice continuing through the finish.

Sea Cider Ruby Rose Sparkling Cider 750 mL

Canadian Cider
$24.99
Rhubarb and rosehip give this semi-sweet sparkling cider its fruit and floral character. The official profile lists rhubarb, rosehip and confectionery notes and compares its aroma to rhubarb pie. The release belongs to the producer's Canadian Invasion Series and references Rosa rugosa in its story, pairing a fragrant orchard drink with the documented fruit, floral and confectionery profile.

Sea Cider Platinum Sparkling Cider

Canadian Cider
$24.99
Heirloom apples shape this semi-dry sparkling cider, with fresh apple and cut grass in the official profile. Gentle effervescence gives it a clearly sparkling texture. Created for the cidery's twentieth anniversary and linked to its Mount St. Michael orchard on Vancouver Island, the release brings together historic fruit varieties, moderate sweetness and fine bubbles in an orchard-led style.
