Schloss Reinhartshausen traces its Rheingau winegrowing history to 1337, with the estate centred at Erbach on the Rhine. Its mainland holdings span fifteen sites in Erbach, Hattenheim and Kiedrich, with loess, marl and quartzite soils and a variety of slopes and exposures. Grapes for the castle wines come from the estate’s own officially classified vineyards.
The estate has grown vines on Mariannenaue island since the 1960s; its island vineyards now cover roughly twenty-four hectares. Riesling grows there alongside Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Red Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc.

German Red
Pinot Noir from Germany’s Rheingau gives a dry red with thirteen-and-a-half percent alcohol. The estate cultivates its own classified vineyards in Erbach, Hattenheim and Kiedrich and does not buy grapes or must. Within the castle-wine range, the style has a medium body, radiant fruit, clarity and depth. The wines are bottled from the historic cellar at Erbach.

German White
Ripe gooseberry, banana and lemon lead, with pineapple, saffron and a subtle smoky note adding complexity. The palate is dry and mineral, combining a rounded texture with well-integrated acidity and a clean, stony line. Composed rather than heavy, it finishes with citrus and gentle smoke, suiting shellfish, grilled fish, roast poultry or creamy vegetable dishes.
