SANT’OR is a family winery in the village of Santomeri in Achaia, set around 600 metres above sea level at the foot of Mount Skolis. Its four-hectare vineyard is dry-farmed and worked organically and biodynamically, with local and Greek varieties including Roditis, Agiorgitiko, Mavrodafni and the white Santameriana. The family propagated ten surviving Santameriana vines into roughly 4,000 plants.

Mavrodafni comes from fifty-year-old, rain-fed vineyards in Santomeri, Achaia. The vineyards are farmed organically and biodynamically on clay-loam soil with schistose rock. Indigenous yeasts carry out fermentation, and maturation takes place in old oak barrels. The wine is bottled without filtration. Vivid ruby colour accompanies cherry and strawberry jam, earthy and animal notes, a velvety texture and spice. Production totalled 2,200 bottles.
