Santa Maria Colleoni

Marino and Luisa Colleoni’s Montalcino estate is also known as Podere Le Sante Marie. Luisa bought the house and land in 1989; after old vines emerged from the woodland, the couple restored the terraces and brought in their first harvest in 2000. Sangiovese is used for the estate’s Rosso and Brunello, while its whites include Ansonica. The cellar favours minimal intervention.
