The palate is round and juicy, with black cherry, crème de cassis and chilli chocolate developing through the middle. Dark fruit remains central to the close, with paprika, sandalwood and chocolate extending the layered spicy character.

Perfumed violet leads into plum, cassis and blackberry. The palate brings bold dark fruit together with bay leaf, allspice and a hint of cured meat, placing savoury spice alongside the fruit. Fine tannins add grip, and the wine has a long, dry finish. Violet remains the principal floral aroma, while plum, cassis and blackberry form the dark-fruit profile.
