Ron Millonario

Ron Millonario’s roots lie in northern Peru, where farmers established Hacienda Agricola de Chiclayo and a small sugar refinery in 1904. The Piera de Castillo family bought the property in 1922, and new sugar machinery and a Scottish column still arrived in 1938. The Millonario name followed in 1950, referring to the small circle who could then afford the rum. Fabio Rossi encountered the rum in Peru in 2004 and helped bring it back to international attention.
