AboutRon Coloma
Ron Coloma is made at Hacienda Coloma in Fusagasuga, a nineteenth-century property about 1,700 metres above sea level in central Colombia. Master blenders Sandra Reategui and Judith Ramirez developed the first rums after work on Coloma’s Colombian coffee liqueur suggested a new use for its seasoned barrels.
The eight-year rum matures in American oak ex-bourbon barrels before a further finish in casks that held the coffee liqueur. It is brought to bottling strength with Andean spring water and passed through coffee filters.

Creamy almond and roasted coffee shape the aroma, followed by dark chocolate and dry vanilla. The palate combines caramel sweetness with gentle oak, while the coffee-cask influence reinforces the rum’s distinctive coffee-led character. The finish brings roasted coffee, dark chocolate and dry vanilla back into focus, with creamy almond and caramel softening the oak and giving the close a gently sweet line.
