Riecine 2021 Chianti Classico

Italian Red
$59.99
Pale purple colour accompanies red and purple florals, red cherry, plum, raspberry, pomegranate, orange peel, herbs, liquorice and sweet spice. The palate is agile and lightly textured, with complex minerality, powdery tannins and lively acidity. Sangiovese comes from high-altitude vineyards in Gaiole. It ferments spontaneously with indigenous yeast in concrete, then matures in unlined concrete and large untoasted oak.

Riecine 2020 Bianco di Riecine Trebbiano

Italian White
$93.99
Intense orange colour carries flint reflections. Apricot, strawberry, glue and resin appear on the nose, followed by a fresh, medium-weight palate with slight tannin and a medicinal aftertaste. Made entirely from Trebbiano, the wine ferments in cocciopesto amphorae. Most stays on its skins, while a smaller portion ages without skins in new 500-litre tonneaux before blending.

Riecine 2017 Riecine di Riecine Rosso Toscana IGT

Italian Red
$130.99
Raspberry, strawberry and goji berry lead a fragrant, finely detailed nose, with violet, dried orange and a light mushroom note adding depth. The palate is juicy and fresh, carrying sour cherry and darker fruit through crisp acidity and soft, closely woven tannins. Medium to full in body but never heavy, it remains balanced and smooth through a clean, savoury finish. Serve with roast pork, mushroom ragù or aged pecorino.

Riecine 2020 La Gioia Toscana IGT

Italian Red
$121.99
Plum and balsamic notes open with fresh earth and stone, followed by mushroom, grilled meat and a gentle floral lift. The palate is generous and softly ripe, yet assertive acidity and tannin keep the fruit firmly in balance. A savoury, umami-rich middle gives way to a lightly astringent plum-skin note on the finish. Decant before serving with bistecca, braised beef, wild mushrooms or aged pecorino.
