AboutR&B Distillers

An inherited recipe book brought The Tweeddale whisky back to life in 2010. It belonged to Richard Day, who began learning the blending trade at J&A Davidson in Coldstream in 1895 and later took over the business. His great-grandson Alasdair Day used the book to recreate a recipe combining eight single malts with one single grain whisky, with malt and grain each making up half the blend. Subsequent releases have explored older blends and grain whisky.

The Tweeddale 12 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky

Scottish Whisky
$109.99
Ripe orchard fruit and white grape lead with delicate floral lift, followed by almond, soft malt and a touch of ginger. The palate is smooth and lightly sweet rather than heavy, with fresh fruit held against a clean, drying structure. A final almond note and gentle spice carry the finish. Serve neat or with a small splash of water.
