AboutPrieler

The Prieler family has been documented in Schützen am Gebirge since 1347, but it was Georg Prieler’s grandfather who first began bottling wine at the estate. After years working alongside his parents, Georg took full responsibility for the cellar in 2012. His sister’s return helped bring organic farming and fermentation with wild yeasts into the family’s work.

The vineyards lie between Lake Neusiedl and the Leitha Mountains, where limestone and schist meet warm lake air and cooler winds from the hills. Blaufränkisch and Pinot Blanc are a particular focus, with each matched to the sites that suit it.
