AboutPol Roger

Pol Roger made his first Champagne sale in Aÿ in 1849, aged eighteen, and moved the house to Épernay in 1851. Six generations later, the business remains in family hands. Winston Churchill became a friend of the Pol Roger family.

The family farms ninety-two hectares and also sources grapes from established growers across Champagne. Grapes from different varieties and villages are fermented separately at low temperatures in stainless steel before blending. A second fermentation and ageing take place in cellars thirty-three metres below the street, where the bottles are still turned by hand.

Pol Roger 2015 Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill Brut Champagne

French Sparkling
$449.99
Spice, pepper and dark fruit lead into dried fruit, hazelnut and a subtle exotic lift. Broad and mouth-filling, the palate layers pastry, brioche and cocoa over firm structure and smoky depth. Bright acidity keeps the generous texture precise, carrying the wine through a powerful, composed and exceptionally persistent finish.

Pol Roger Brut Réserve NV Champagne

French Sparkling

Golden and finely beaded, with ripe pear and mango opening into honeysuckle, jasmine, vanilla and warm brioche. The palate is generous but controlled, pairing orchard fruit with bright citrus and a lightly saline, biscuit-edged finish. Its freshness and breadth make it an easy aperitif, with enough substance for smoked salmon, roast chicken or aged Comte.
