AboutPierre Péters

Six generations of the Péters family have worked in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, beginning with Gaspar Péters and roughly two hectares of vines in 1858. Camille began making and bottling the family’s own Champagne in 1919; winemaker Rodolphe Péters has led the estate since 2008.

The estate farms just over nineteen hectares of Chardonnay, mainly in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, Avize and Cramant, on east-facing slopes with chalk close to the surface. The vines average more than thirty years of age. Camille acquired the Les Chétillons vineyard in 1930. Wine from its three old parcels is made separately, then blended into a single-vineyard Chardonnay Champagne in selected years.
