AboutParras Wines
Luís Vieira’s father and grandfather both worked with wine. Vieira began building his Portuguese wine business in 1998, acquired Quinta do Gradil in 1999 and founded Parras Vinhos in 2010. The company adopted the Parras Wines name in 2016.
Today its vineyards in Lisboa and Alentejo are joined by grower partnerships in Tejo, Douro, Vinho Verde and Dão. Parras winemakers and winegrowers follow the partner vineyards throughout the growing season and harvest.
Parras Wines 2020 Cavalo Negro Red
Portuguese Red
Soft, ripe and spicy, this Portuguese red is generously textured. Black fruit and acidity shine through an open structure, and the palate remains easy to drink. Ripe fruit and spice give the wine a generous character, while acidity stays clearly present within its open shape. It is a direct, dark-fruited style built around texture, freshness, spice and openness.
