Paolo Bea’s family has documented roots in Montefalco from at least the sixteenth century and has long combined vines with mixed agriculture. The present estate developed under Paolo and his family, with sons Giuseppe and Giampiero taking complementary vineyard, cellar and commercial roles. Sagrantino, Sangiovese and other local grapes form the core of wines identified with Montefalco and nearby Umbrian sites.
The farm’s broader crops remain part of its identity, while the wine range is treated separately from olives, grains or livestock. Low-intervention cellar practices are kept to documented methods and do not imply certification or a universal no-additions policy. The Bea family’s estate remains in Montefalco, with Sagrantino, Sangiovese and local white grapes across its range.

Plum, black cherry and mixed bramble berries lead a concentrated, generous profile. Floral lift keeps the ripe fruit fresh, while earth, balsamic detail, espresso and dark spice add savoury complexity. The palate is dry and powerful, with electric acidity and chewy tannins giving shape to the opulence. Silky texture emerges with air. The finish remains lifted and persistent, carrying dark fruit, earth and spice.

Dusty dried cherry, plum and blood orange lead an intense, distinctive bouquet, with crushed rose and fragrant purple flowers adding lift. Dark spice, earth and a measured feral note bring savoury depth. The palate is taut and juicy, driven by fresh acidity and firm tannins. Crunchy mineral detail sharpens the long finish, leaving dark fruit, flowers, spice and a persistent dry grip.
