Winemakers Dyson DeMara and Scott O’Brien Kelley created Oregon Territory as a project shaped by their shared experience in California and Oregon. They had already founded Paul O’Brien Winery in Roseburg in 2013, using their middle names to mark the partnership. Oregon Territory works with dry-farmed Oregon fruit and produces wines including Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Tempranillo.

The brand’s name evokes the state’s earlier territorial history but does not indicate a separate official appellation. Concrete fermenters, wood tanks and large oak are described as available tools, while actual use remains specific to each wine. Oregon Territory remains a separate Oregon wine project within DeMara and O’Brien Kelley’s partnership.
