Old Grand-Dad

Brown sugar, vanilla and roasted peanut open the nose, followed by caramel and a strong thread of cinnamon. The palate is energetic and warming, with rye spice, light oak and a touch of dried fruit keeping the sweetness in check. A firm bottled-in-bond structure gives the whiskey weight without obscuring its nutty, spicy character. The finish is persistent, with pepper, cinnamon and toasted oak. Serve neat, over ice, or in an Old Fashioned where the rye-driven spice can remain prominent.
