Carlow Brewing Company, better known on its labels as O’Hara’s Brewery, was established in 1996 as an independent, family-owned Irish brewery. The founders began in a restored nineteenth-century railway goods store in Carlow town, drawing on family roots, local malting barley and limestone-rich water. Its first beers appeared in 1998, and a purpose-built brewery in Bagenalstown followed in 2009 as the business outgrew that original home.
The range includes Irish stouts and ales, wheat beers, lagers, seasonal releases and experimental hop-led beers.

Irish Beer
Robust roast flavour forms the centre of this traditional dry Irish stout, joined by deep chocolate, coffee and liquorice aromas. Nitrogen creates a full, smooth texture and creamy head, while an espresso-like finish keeps the palate savoury and composed. Serve cool with oysters, hearty stews, roast beef, aged cheddar, chocolate cake or deeply smoked mushrooms.
