AboutCidrerie Nicol
On the Rhuys peninsula in southern Brittany, Cidrerie Nicol has made cider in Surzur since André and Alice Nicol founded the business in 1928. Jean Nicol carried it into a second generation from 1960, and Didier and Jean-Michel Nicol later continued the family enterprise.
Breton apples, including sweet and bitter varieties, go into the ciders. The cidrerie works with pure apple juice and slow fermentation.
Cidrerie Nicol Cidre Bouché Breton Brut
Baked apple, honey and cinnamon lead a powerful aromatic profile. The palate brings distinct bitterness without excess, supported by depth from a slow, traditional fermentation lasting up to six months. Bittersweet apples provide the tannin-to-acid balance. The style combines baked fruit, honeyed notes, gentle spice and measured bitterness in a cider with clear structure and depth.
