Movia

Movia’s roots reach into the early eighteenth century, and the Kristančič family has cared for the estate since 1820. Based at Ceglo in Slovenia’s Goriška Brda, it has vineyards on both sides of the border with Italy’s Collio. Aleš Kristančič leads the estate today.

The vineyards are farmed organically, and the wines are made without added commercial yeasts or filtration, with very little added sulphur. Puro, its bottle-fermented sparkling wine, is sold with the yeast sediment still inside, to be removed before serving.
