AboutChâteau Moulin Blanc

Château Moulin Blanc entered the Boutet family in 1937, when Martine Vauvrecy-Boutet’s grandfather bought the property and began bottling its wine at the estate. Martine took charge in 1977 as the third generation, expanding the holding parcel by parcel while steadily modernizing its equipment. The vineyard forms a 4.45-hectare block of deep clay-loam with traces of iron, including some vines approaching a century in age.

Merlot accounts for roughly four-fifths of the plantings, alongside Cabernet Franc and Malbec. The family began formal organic conversion in 2010, favouring mechanical work and permanent cover over chemical weed control. The grapes are harvested by hand.

Château Moulin Blanc 2019 Montagne-Saint-Émilion

French Red
$34.99
An understated Right Bank Bordeaux with pure red cherry and violet aromas. The palate is medium-bodied and composed, with crisp acidity giving the fruit freshness and fine, chewy tannins adding shape through the finish. Refined rather than showy, it benefits from a little air and pairs neatly with roast lamb, duck, mushrooms or firm cheese.
