AboutMontecariano
Montecariano took shape in 1992 when Mariella Gini assumed care of her family’s land in San Pietro in Cariano; she now owns and guides the estate with her sons Matteo and Marco. Gini studied archaeology, and Roman remains were uncovered during vineyard planting on the property.
The vineyards follow a south-facing ridge between the Fumane and Marano valleys in Valpolicella Classica. Alongside Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella, the family preserves local grapes such as Pelara, Oseleta, Molinara and Croatina. The vineyards are farmed under organic certification.

Italian White
The colour is bright straw yellow. Jasmine and elderflower appear with apricot, peach and spice. The palate is balanced, with fragrant acidity. Corvina, Corvinone, Pelara and Molinara are used in the blend. The vines average seventy-five years old and grow on limestone, fossil and clay soils. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel with bâtonnage, followed by three months in bottle.
