AboutMilan Nestarec
Milan Nestarec grew up working his family’s vineyards in Velké Bílovice, Moravia. His father’s experience in vine nurseries helped the family build its holdings from returned family plots and newly purchased land.
In the vineyards, he avoids herbicides, industrial fertilizers and systemic treatments, using selected biodynamic practices according to the place and season. The grapes are picked by hand; cellar work includes spontaneous fermentation, slow pressing and ageing in tanks and old barrels. The wines are bottled without fining or filtration.

Cabernet Franc, Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir come from twenty-year-old vines planted on sand in Moravský Žižkov. The grapes are destemmed and undergo carbonic maceration, followed by maturation in old large oak. The wine is made without added sulphur and contains twelve and a half percent alcohol. It is a red wine from the Czech Republic.
