AboutMezcal Carreño

Mezcal Carreño traces its family roots to 1904, when Apolonio Carreño established a small mezcal distillery on family land near San Dionisio Ocotlán, in Oaxaca’s Central Valleys. NARAN is its Espadín mezcal, named for a lunar eclipse and created as a tribute to women working in mezcal. Carreño’s wider work includes agave replanting and projects with Indigenous communities and women’s groups.

NARAN Mezcal Artesanal Espadín Joven 750 mL

Mexican Tequila & Mezcal
$69.99

Light smoke frames bright citrus, green fruit and a fresh, grassy lift. On the palate, mature Espadín gives the mezcal a harmonious, rounded body, with measured acidity and bitterness bringing shape rather than heat. The texture is smooth and gently unctuous, while the finish stays persistent and balanced. Serve neat, over one large cube or in a citrus-led cocktail.
