Masseto 1998
Italian Red
Ripe black plum and dried cherry are layered with cedar, tobacco, graphite and warm Mediterranean herbs. The palate is opulent but controlled, with supple tannins, fresh acidity and an earthy mineral undertone drawn from the estate’s blue-clay soils. Time has softened the structure while preserving the wine’s depth and polished texture. Stand upright before opening, decant carefully for sediment and serve with slow-braised beef, venison or mature Pecorino.

Blackberry, black cherry and violet unfold into dark chocolate, liquorice, graphite and tobacco. The palate is concentrated and broad, with polished tannins, balanced acidity and a savoury mineral line that keeps the ripe fruit composed. Long ageing in new French oak is now fully integrated, adding depth rather than overt sweetness. Decant gently for sediment and serve with braised beef, roast lamb, porcini or a firm aged cheese.

Deep and composed, with black plum, blackberry, dark chocolate, liquorice and candied violet opening into graphite, tobacco and a gentle earthy complexity. The palate is broad and concentrated, yet the texture remains polished, with supple tannins, balanced acidity and a long savoury finish. Extended ageing in new French oak has settled seamlessly into the fruit. A mature, structured Tuscan red for slow service alongside braised beef, roast lamb or aged hard cheese.
