Jean Martell arrived from Jersey and founded his Cognac house in 1715. After his death in 1753, Rachel Martell led and expanded the business for nearly three decades. Shipments reached India in 1781 and the American coast in 1783.

Banana and caramelized pear lead a generous, fruit-forward aroma, followed by vanilla, coconut and warm spice. The palate is full and smooth, with ginger and candied fruit giving lift to the sweeter notes. Toasted oak brings structure and a gently warming edge to the long finish. Serve neat, over a large cube, or in a spirit-forward cocktail.
