AboutMacauley Vineyard
Macauley Vineyard was established in Saint Helena in the early 1980s by Ann Macauley Watson, whose first wines included a late-harvest Sauvignon Blanc made with Ric Forman’s help. Her son Mac revived the family label after working at Rudd Estate, crushing the first grapes of its new chapter in 2001 with childhood friend and winemaker Kirk Venge. The winery draws fruit from sites across Napa Valley, including Beckstoffer-managed To Kalon in Oakville and vineyards in Rutherford.

Black fruit and cherry rise from the glass with wet stone, blackberry jam, raspberry and finely judged oak spice. The palate is warm and viscous yet remarkably balanced, bringing ripe cherry, clove and layered spice into focus. Stately, refined tannins give the Cabernet shape and carry its dark fruit through a long, composed finish.
