AboutLöwenbräu
Löwenbräu’s Munich history reaches back to 1524, when a brewer worked at Löwengrube 17. The Löwenbräu name appears in the city’s brewing registers of 1746 and 1747. Georg Brey bought the brewery in 1818, and the Löwenbräukeller opened in 1883.
At the Munich brewery, malt, hops and its own yeast cultures are brewed with water from wells about 220 metres deep. Löwenbräu also reaches drinkers abroad through exports and licensed brewing partners.
Löwenbräu Original Helles Lager Can
Citrus and fresh-cut grass lead a clean, hop-fragrant aroma, with pale malt adding a soft bready note. The palate is light and brisk, balancing gentle malt sweetness with measured citrus bitterness and lively carbonation. A crisp structure keeps the beer refreshing, while the finish is dry, tidy and lightly herbal. Serve well chilled with sausages, schnitzel or salty pretzels.
