Loveblock is the independent family wine project of Erica and Kim Crawford in Marlborough. They bought the land in 2006 and developed Loveblock Farm in Lower Dashwood, with vineyards on exposed hills and the valley floor in the Awatere Valley.
Erica leads the farming and has guided the estate’s move towards organic practices. Kim heads the cellar, drawing on decades of international winemaking experience. Alongside stainless steel, the winemaking uses neutral oak, concrete eggs and amphorae for selected wines.

Pale straw with green and gold tones, this Sauvignon Blanc shows summer meadow, oatmeal and loquat. Juicy peach and papaya meet flinty minerality, layered texture and a silky mouthfeel through a long finish. The fruit comes from the certified-organic Woolshed Vineyard in the Awatere Valley. Fermentation is divided among concrete eggs, amphorae, neutral oak and stainless steel.
