AboutLogsdon Farmhouse Ales

Logsdon Farmhouse Ales began in 2011, when veteran brewer David Logsdon and Charles Porter established the project in Oregon’s Columbia River Gorge. Logsdon had been Full Sail’s first brewmaster and a co-founder of Wyeast Laboratories, the yeast specialist. The brewery started on a ten-acre family farm near Hood River, making Belgian-inspired farmhouse ales.

Its beers included saisons, beers fermented with Brettanomyces yeast, and fruit beers aged in wood. In 2018, much of the brewing moved across the Columbia to Washougal, where new equipment supported an expanded barrel-ageing programme using Northwest fruit.

Logsdon Farmhouse Ales Szech ‘n Brett Saison 750 mL

American Beer
$23.99
Lemon and peach lead the aroma, joined by dried apricot, white flowers and a distinctive thread of earthy peppercorn. The palate is light and highly effervescent, with Brettanomyces adding dry hay and gentle farmhouse funk rather than heaviness. A firm, spicy finish keeps the fruit bright and refreshing. Serve cool with roast chicken, grilled sausages, washed-rind cheese or Sichuan dishes that echo its peppery lift.
