Lion-Gri

Founded in Moldova in 1997, Lion-Gri grows grapes, makes wine and spirits, and handles its own maturation and bottling. More than 700 hectares of estate vineyards lie in the protected Ștefan Vodă and Valul lui Traian regions.

Near Chișinău, Lion-Gri built an underground cellar into old stone workings, thirty metres below ground and extending across roughly 20,000 square metres. The naturally stable conditions are used for tank and oak maturation, and the cellar also houses a collection of wines dating back to 1952.
