AboutA Los Viñateros Bravos

A Los Viñateros Bravos is Leonardo Erazo’s collaborative Itata project with small partner growers. Erazo came to the region in 2010 after studying agronomy and oenology in Chile and completing postgraduate work in South Africa. Around Guarilihue and Ránquil, he found old head-trained vines farmed without irrigation on decomposed granite, many tended by families with generations of local knowledge.

The vineyards are worked by hand and horse, using organic and biodynamic methods without formal certification. In the cellar, fermentation relies on native yeast in concrete or clay vessels.

A Los Viñateros Bravos 2019 Árbol Arriba Torontel

Chilean White
$41.99

Orange blossom, lemon peel and grapefruit lead, with green apple and a stony, saline edge adding definition. Skin contact gives the old-vine Torontel a lightly grippy shape without dulling its freshness. Serve chilled with ceviche, grilled prawns or vegetable dishes brightened with herbs and citrus.
