AboutLe Vigne di Zamò

Le Vigne di Zamò is rooted in Rosazzo; the family’s wine story began with the Osteria di Manzano, opened by Luigi Zamò in 1924. Tullio Zamò moved the family toward estate wine in 1978, buying five hectares on the Rocca Bernarda hill and founding Vigna del Leon. Pierluigi and Silvano later extended the work around Rosazzo Abbey.

The vineyards now span Rosazzo, Buttrio and Rocca Bernarda, three Friulian settings with different exposures and growing conditions. The estate grows Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, Pignolo and Refosco alongside international varieties. Vineyard work includes natural fertilizers and mechanical weed control.
